Mark Booth / Michael Graeve

A juxtaposition of word and sound, colour and rhythm. A surround-visual experience with works on wall, floor, ceiling, and in-between. A surround-sound experience of multiple simultaneously-diffused sound compositions.Texts rendered as paintings, stencils, vinyls, print, projections, recordings and performance. A Chicago Melbourne collaboration. A playful contrasting of nonobjective and textual material which challenges simple transcriptions orepresentations, bargaining for a space of a productive in-between-ness. A foregrounding of the present and the concrete. An awkwardness of transcription rendered through the fragmentary, drawn together in space as a poetic experiencing.
